Gcina Mhlophe, is a South African anti-apartheid activist, actress, storyteller, poet, playwright, director and author. Gcina does her work through charismatic performances, working to preserve storytelling as a means of keeping history alive and encouraging South African children to read. She tells her stories in four of South Africa's languages: English, Afrikaans, Zulu, and Xhosa Elizabeth Pulles is a children’s book illustrator, painter and sculptor from Johannesburg. One of the most popular works by Elizabeth Pulles is a previous collaboration with Gcina Mhlophe: 7 editions were published between 1994 and 2007 in English, copies of which are available from 55 WorldCat member libraries worldwide.
